Cold Brook March
Cold Brook March is perfect for your band’s first Spring Concert. The ranges are comfortable for all instruments and the second clarinets never cross the break. Fun, syncopated rhythms provide a great deal of interest throughout. Short percussion solos introduce both the first strain and the second strain which is in the contrasting relative minor key. The break up strain pits the woodwinds against the brass with the percussion section holding it all together. (Correlates to Accent on Achievement, Book 1, Page 32)SKU: AL33811 -

Columbia Gorge Suite
Columbia Gorge Suite is a composition with three distinct movements. The first movement is bold and brassy with fanfare-like motives throughout. The second movement is expressive and peaceful, with the flutes presenting the melody over an arpeggiated counter-melody in the clarinets. Movement three drives ahead energetically with a strong theme that is passed from section to section. The syncopated rhythms and the interplay between the winds and percussion bring the suite to an exciting finish.SKU: AL22273 -

Come the Brave
Inspired by demonstrated courage, this original work is intended as a confidence-building piece for a young ensemble’s first Spring concert. It serves as a perfect gateway into articulation and varying dynamics: the three most commonly occurring articulation marks (staccato, accent, and tenuto) have been included, as have the middle three dynamic markings (mezzo piano, mezzo forte, and forte) building and declining in intensity. These musical concepts can be experienced individually and within the ensemble. A bold musical statement!SKU: AL46607 -
