Kinder Symphony
Leopold Mozart wrote his Kinder Symphony (“Children’s Symphony”) to charm young people especially. This arrangement incorporates the two main melodies in the original symphony and reduces their length to about four minutes. As in the original, there are “holes” where various sounds, other than musical, should be sounded. Before playing Kinder Symphony, the “sounds” will need to be assigned. This will be great fun for your audiences as well as players.SKU: AL22267 -

Kingsfold
The haunting melody of this traditional tune likely dates to the Middle Ages, and was published by British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams in the 1906 English Hymnal. Freely adapted by Johnnie Vinson in this setting for young bands, the minor melody is stated first by low clarinets and horns. The next section introduces an original theme, which is then combined with the first melody in the moving final section. Beautifully paced and scored largely in choral fashion, this is a wonderfully fresh and unique offering for holiday or winter concerts.SKU: HL4004338 -

Kiskiminetas (To Make Daylight)
“Kiskiminetas” is a Native American word that means to “make daylight” and was likely a command given to “break camp and continue the journey.” Paul Murtha’s escriptive work for young players opens with a noble fanfare suggesting the break of day. A lyric section follows depicting scenic vistas along the path, and finally an exuberant adventure theme celebrates the conclusion of the journey. Nicely paced with plenty of variety.SKU: HLPC23002 -
