Concert Band

Created in 1994, ReBoot was the first completely computer-animated television series and become a hit worldwide. The setting is in the inner world of a computer system known as “Mainframe” – a stunning universe where good constantly fights the forces of evil. The powerful and dynamic score for the series was composed by Robert Buckley, and his wind band adaptation perfectly captures the cinematic richness and heroic energy of the original music. The old adage “Red sky at night, sailor’s delight; Red sky in the morning, sailor’s warning” dates back to the 12th century. The idea that a beautiful crimson sky could be both alluring and threatening was the inspiration for this composition – a descriptive, impressionistic work with a wide variety of tonal colors and textures. Beginning with an exotic alto sax solo (later joined by a counter melody in the oboe), there are other cued solos for flute, oboe, Eb clarinet and Bb clarinet. Dur: 6:40
