Written for Dan Bell and the Cheyenne Mountain Junior High School Symphonic Band, this work was named by the students for a nearby canyon. Cheyenne Cañon presents a wide variety of musical styles from the mystical opening measures through the loping double time feel of the exposition to the melancholy strains of the lyrical middle section.
